Pawn Wars Game Rules

  2. White moves first
  3. Players take turns moving one pawn
  4. Capture opponent's pawns when possible
  5. Win by: Getting a pawn to promotion OR capturing all enemy pawns
Teacher Tip: Use the phrase "Attack on the Diagonal!" to help students remember that pawns capture differently than they move. Consider having students say it aloud when making captures.
